We want you at our wedding!

About Us

We strive everyday to grow our love, fulfill our wanderlust, and overcome obstacles together as one.

Amare-Sempervirens-Jamie-600x600
Jamie Danielle
Bride

A true go-getter who is very much a Northwest girl at heart. She is a curious adventurer unafraid to book a last minute flight or travel deeply off the beaten path. Jamie is a natural business woman who excels in domestic staffing services and real estate. Her business savvy is complimented and balanced by a huge heart and her light, joking nature.

Amare-Sempervirens-Luke-600x600
Luke VanVoorhis
Groom

With a big heart and creative spirit Luke is someone that people naturally gravitate to and he is always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoys a good time with friends and is quick to make a joke or pick out the perfect record to compliment the mood. A true foodie, Luke likes to spend time in the kitchen planning and preparing new recipes and hosting an impromptu dinner. As a true creative Luke pursues his passions whether it’s cooking, designing or photography with love and relentless dedication. In his free time Luke loves to surf, travel and explore all types of photography.

Our Engagement

The romanticism and power of nature have long captivated adventurous individuals. During the last week of 2014, Jamie and Luke embarked on a ten day, 1,981 mile California road trip in search of a specific coastal redwood (Sequoia Sempervirens) outside of Crescent City near the Oregon Border. Upon entering Jedidiah Smith State Park they began an awe inspiring three hour hike with the aid of a crude map and compass. As they trekked onward the largest and oldest trees they had ever seen surrounded them in every direction. The forest was alive and full of spiritual energy.  We were engaged under the world’s largest coastal redwood with the splendid beauty of nature as our only witness.

The Wedding

Welcome to Amare Sempervirens at Camp Tamarack. This summer’s hottest wedding camp.

The Venue

Camp Tamarack has been around Sisters Country since 1935, when Donna Gill and Lucile Murphy leased land from the Forest Service and built a little lodge, a few cabins and set up a horse camp for girls on the shore of Dark Lake.  Located just 15 miles NW of Sisters, Camp Tamarack lies on the shore of pristine Dark Lake, nestled beneath the tall green trees of the Deschutes National Forest.
